Are You Empathic? Little Known Conditions.

A majority of my clients share a common factor.  They are Empathic. Medical professionals commonly misdiagnose empathics because of their ability to absorb and then demonstrate the feelings and illnesses of others, without even knowing it.

One such case is a client who has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and  hypothyroidism – the latest in a string of conditions doctors have determined over the years. (At this writing, recent blood tests reveal that she no longer has hypothyroidism, yet her body still presents as if, further proofing the medical establishment can only do so much.)

The bulk of her symptomology: migraines, body pain and fatigue, greatly reduces with regular sessions with me. I assist her in letting go of the energies of those around her that she has soaked up like a sponge, advise her in ways that can offer protection for her weakened energy boundaries, and work with her underlying issues that have created such vulnerability.

From my personal observations, empaths either learn their sensitivities as survival mechanisms, growing up in abusive or dysfunctional homes, or come more naturally to it as it is a part of their design.  There may even be an overlap for some.

According to The Highly Sensitive Person: How to Thrive When the World Overwhelms You, author Elaine Aron, Ph.D. states that as many as one out of every five people are highly sensitive.

Author Yvonne Perry has a wonderful, easy to read, easy to reference guidebook that I highly recommend for empaths and health professionals alike:  Whose Stuff Is This? Finding Freedom from the Negative Thoughts, Feelings, and Energy of Those Around You

You will learn …

Empaths are very likeable people – compassionate, unconditionally understanding, peaceful, joyful, loving, kind, and caring.  You most likely will find them ‘in service’ as crisis volunteers, caregivers, nannies, nurses, rehabilitation specialists, teachers, social workers, psychologists, and even parents who consistently care for a child with health or educational issues. You will also find them in the healing arts as massage therapists, energy workers, yoga instructors and the like.

Common denominators can include a feeling of responsibility for others’ happiness and a need to ‘fix’ things that are wrong in others’ relationships, physical bodies and even the world.  They want to heal others and make everyone happy, but instead end up absorbing the very thing they are attempting to heal: fear, depression, anger, rage, and more.  This makes them easy targets for those who don’t take responsibility for their own choices and seek someone to do everything for them.

From chest pains and stomach cramps to migraines and fever, empaths can manifest symptoms without contracting an actual illness. Later, they learn that their “ailment” coincided with the onset of a friend’s or family member’s illness.

Most likely empaths will have animals in their life, and find solace in the out of doors, where they can discharge some of the energies they have taken on, and re-charge their batteries from ‘empathy fatigue.’

Some will have weight issues. Absorbing stressful emotions can trigger panic attacks, depression as well as food, sex, and drug binges. Some may overeat to cope with these emotional stressors or use their body weight as a shield or buffer.

They can also feel sorry for people no matter who they are or what they have done. They feel the need to stop and help anyone in their path. They can’t pass by a homeless person without giving them money—even if they don’t have it to spare.  They also feel horrible when a commercial for the Humane Society shows animals that need a home, and they may rescue more animals than they can possibly care for.

Some empaths don’t do well with intimate relationships. Constantly taking on their partner’s pain and emotions, they may easily get their feelings hurt, desire to spend time alone rather than with the partner, feel vulnerable when having sex, and feel that they have to continually retrieve their own energy when it gets jumbled with that of their partner. They may be so afraid of becoming engulfed by another person that they close up emotionally just to survive.

If this information hits close to home, or feels like a friend or family member, please feel free to pass this along.  You never know what a gift of healing you may be giving in return for some of the most caring and thoughtful human beings on this planet.

Energy Healing — Flower Essences Aid on All Levels

What Are Flower Essences?

Flower essences are herbal infusions or decoctions, made from the flowering part of the plant, that can uniquely address emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of wellness for people and animals.

Picture-7.png

They are prepared by placing the flower’s petals – the plant part believed to have the greatest amount of life force – into a glass bowl of water and setting in sunlight, which melds the flower’s energetic imprint into the water.

How Do They Work?

To understand how flower essences work requires recognition that the human being is more than a physical body. It also incorporates a “body” of life energy, a “body” of sensitivity and feelings, and a spiritual essence or Self.

Flower essences are energetic imprints of the life force of plants that interact with these subtle “bodies” of the human being, and evoke specific qualities within us.

We can say that they work in a similar way to inspirational music or art, which carry meaning through the vehicle of sound or light, while the flower essences work through the medium of water.

When To Use Flower Essences

You can use Flower Essences when you feel in any way emotionally, mentally, or spiritually out of balance, such as when you feel depressed, anxious, or self-critical.

You can also use them for physical illness to help address the underlying conflicts and tensions that may have contributed to the onset of the illness.

Picture-1.png

If you already work with other healing systems, Flower Essences will not interfere. In fact, they help you better integrate the benefits of other healing modalities, and make these modalities more efficient.  This is true for animals as well as people.

How Do The Essences Know Where To Go In My System?

The deepest sorrow and the greatest joy exist on the same electrical frequency band, with joy at one end and sorrow on the other.  All vibration is organized in this way.

Flower Essences vibrate rapidly at the very highest end of this frequency band, and our illusions, our negative emotions, vibrate more slowly at the low end of the band.

Picture-121.png

Once introduced, a flower essence goes to the band of shared resonance and offers its vibration as an alternate electrical model.  It is a tuning fork of sorts, calling us back to the higher vibration that it holds. Because this high vibration is the deepest truth about any situation, our electrical system wants to return to vibrating with this frequency.

Given sufficient exposure to this vibrational tuning fork, our electrical system will choose the higher frequency of this band and will begin to hold the same high vibration offered by the Flower Essence.

What Can You Expect?

In the long run, working with flower essences will help you to feel more alive and in touch with your goals, values, and creativity. They work by stimulating awareness of our conflicts and challenges, and they strengthen our ability to work through the obstacles to our health and growth.

What If You Are On Medications?

Flower essences can be very helpful for people who are taking prescribed medication for both physical and emotional ailments. To the extent that the medication dulls consciousness, the essences may take longer to take effect, or for their effects to be noticed.

Origins?

Flower Essences were used by ancient cultures, and today, the most well-known name associated with flower essences is Dr.Edward Bach (1886 – 1936).

Picture-11-116x150.png

Bach originally came up with what are now known as The Twelve Healers - Impatients, Mimulus, Clematis, Agrimony, Chicory, Vervain, Centaury, Cerato, Gentain, Scleranthus, Water Violet and Rock Rose. What followed were 26 other flower essences along with probably the best known of the Bach’s, Rescue Remedy. (You can find Bach remedies in Health Food Stores, as well as on-line.)

Another name well known for essences is Flower Essence Services or FES. They have a collection of some 103 essences.  (FES remedies are mostly found in Metaphysical Bookstores and on-line through various retailers, like Lucky Vitamin.)

These are among the essences I will “check in”on for clients as well as Tennessee’s Floralive essences, and New Hampshire’s Green Hope Farm collections.

Green Hope Farm has some 14 different flower collections, including Animal Wellness and Healer’s Toolboxcollections. http://www.greenhopeessences.com/

Floralive is unique among essence producers in that they use “un-cut” flowers for their 55 plus flower products. http://www.floralive.com/

The Difference Between Flower Essences & Essential Oils

An essence is not an essential oil and an essential oil is not an essence, although both are extracted from trees and plants.

Put simply, Flower Essences concentrate on the vibrational energy of the plant, rather than the physical properties of an actual oil extract, as in the case of Essential Oils.

  • The plants and flowers used in essence therapy are often different to those used in the practice of essential oils.
  • Essences do not have a fragrance or flavor, unlike an essential oil.
  • Essences are usually in a water and alcohol form; true essential oils are not diluted in this way.
  • And last but not least, Flower Essences are administered by placing several drops under the tongue or in water, while Essential Oils are typically placed topically on wrists, temples, or bottoms of feet.

Energy Healing — Frequencies of Emotional & Mental States

Negative Emotions Create Disease

Thinking negatively has been shown to lower body frequency in 3 seconds.

Thinking positively has been demonstrated to take up to 21 seconds to get the body frequency back up to optimum range.

(When one inhales an essential oil, along with thinking positively, there can be an instantaneous return to a higher frequency.)

The Harmonic Scale of Emotion, as described by Robert Tennyson Stevens, indicates which emotions are high frequencies and which ones are not.

Picture-81.png

The highest frequency emotion is ENTHUSIASM.

Picture-104.png

LOVE and JOY are also high frequency emotions.

Heading down the scale, these are followed by PAIN (emotional or physical), which is followed by ANGER.  The next lower frequency emotion is FEAR followed by GRIEF.

Picture-15-14-10-001.png

Below grief is APATHY. And finally, the lowest frequency emotion is UNCONSCIOUSNESS – meaning it is so awful, we have completely blocked out those situations from our lives.

Jane Buckle, MD / International Lecturer / and former Nursing Assistant to the Queen’s Physician of England, relayed this scenario. Say a person has had an auto accident.  Think of the frequency of fear that instilled in their energy bodies.  If they don’t know to deal with this emotion that is now a factor of the body’s frequency, within a couple of years, this can show up in the physical body as some form of disease.

So, if we are experiencing anything less than enthusiasm in any area of our life, we have lowered our frequency and are running the risk of dis-ease. In order to be healthier, it’s a very good idea to be conscious of increasing our frequency, to align ourselves as best we can with what supports our emotional and mental health.

Plutchik’s Wheel of Emotions

Plutchik's Wheel of Emotions

Plutchik's Wheel of Emotions

Optimism = Anticipation + Joy (Opposite emotion – Disappointment)

Love = Joy + Trust (Opposite emotion – Remorse)

Awe = Fear + Surprise (Opposite – Aggressiveness)

Disapproval = Surprise + Sadness (Opposite – Optimism)

Remorse = Sadness + Disgust (Opposite – Love)

Aggressiveness = Anger + Anticipation (Opposite – Awe)

Energy Healing — High Essential Oil Frequencies

Low Frequency Equals Poor Health

Research done by Bruce Tainio and Gary Young indicates that “the normal frequency range of the human body is between 62 – 68 MHz; but if it drops below that, the individual becomes a candidate for illness.

Cold symptoms appear at 58 MHz, flu symptoms at 57 MHz, candida at 55 MHz,epstein bar at 52 MHz, cancer at 42 KHz.

Stated simply, if we can keep the body frequency high enough, and well oxygenated, the potential is greater to be free of disease.”

Essential Oils are High Frequency

Picture-141.png

The higher the frequency, the more life force an object contains.  More life force means better health.

Life force is called CHI in China, KI in Japan, andPRANA in India. Each of these cultures have developed means for humans to increase and balance the amount of life force they have within their bodies.

Bruce Tainio and Gary Young discovered that processed food canned food had a Zero MHz frequency, fresh produce had up to 15 MHz, dry herbs from 12-22 MHz, and fresh herbs from 20-27 MHz.  Essential oils (therapeutic grade) started at 320 MHz, which is the frequency of Rose Oil.

Picture-122.png

Essential oils have been used for thousands of years to treat physical and emotional ailments. Jean Valnet, M.D. indicates in his book, The Practice of Aromatherapy, that essential oils are not only used to clean and disinfect European hospitals, replacing harsh chemicals, but are also used to treat patients, and are sometime even ingested.

In one test, Gary Young and Bruce Tainio found that when a person drinks a cup of coffee, their frequency can drop by as much as 10 MHz.  It can take three or more days for their body to return to its original frequency.  However, if they use an essential oil of 75 MHz or higher immediately after drinking the coffee, their frequency returned to normal in less than one minute.

Determining Frequencies for the Body

Most practitioners of Vibrational Medicine/Energy Medicine/Energy Healing use dowsing, or Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing) to determine what frequencies would be beneficial for a person.  If a product or frequency is in their best and highest interest the person will test strong. If the product or frequency is detrimental, the person becomes weak.
